You can send any questions, comments, gut feelings and indeed anything else you would like to share with us at SnowBuddies via e-mail to contact@thebuddiesag.ch.
There are different ways you can communicate with other Buddies via the platform: You can chat directly with each and every Buddy, with the exception of the VIPs. You can organise rides or take part in rides. You can make bookings or assess Buddies according to rides and bookings.
Best you check his ratings or talk directly to the Buddy with the in chat function.
Once you have made (and paid for) a booking, it cannot be cancelled on the system. Under exceptional circumstances, you can contact SnowBuddies (info@snowbuddies.ch) and we may be able to assist. Read the corresponding section of our General Terms and Conditions.
Being part of the community's first advantage is to have a channel for your demands. By being a GipsyBuddy you can profite from a lot of free advantages and being able to connect to other SnowBuddies. With whoever and wherever you want to
Registration is free and lasts a lifetime. If you wish to leave the community, just send us an e-mail to unsubscribe from the newsletter. Registration as a LocalBuddy is the exception, as this will only be possible from November 2017. Annual membership for LocalBuddies costs CHF 50 and is automatically renewed.
As a LocalBuddy you can charge for your advisory services (CHF 50 per advisory service). This distinguishes you from the GipsyBuddy. As you are the only Buddy to pay a fee for the platform without instruction, the other Buddies also know that your advice is to be taken seriously.

Our statement is fun, snow and security. Reliability in the offering and proactivity on requests.
SnowBuddies is a product of The Buddies AG (www.thebuddiesag.ch).
Home base is Switzerland, office location is Könizstrasse 257, 3097 Liebefeld
As a ProBuddy you have a snow sports qualification and are therefore always the strongest member of the team. This also means that you must adhere to a couple of guidelines when having fun in the snow with other Buddies.
If you offer off-piste instruction or if people or groups go off-piste, you are subject to the law governing high-risk sports: More specifically the Federal Act on Mountain Guides and Organisers of other High-Risk Activities from 17 December 2010 (RiskG) (https://www.admin.ch/opc/de/classified-compilation/20091883/index.html) and the associated ordinance from 30 November 2012 on Mountain Guides and Organisers of other High-Risk Activities (High-Risk Activities Ordinance ). Article 2 of the Federal Act on Mountain Guides and Organisers of other High-Risk Activities covers the duty of care and is of particular importance. We would also like to draw to your attention to the fact that a licence is required for high-risk activities in mountainous or rocky terrain and in streams or river basins (see Art. 1 in conjunction with Art. 3 RiskG).
Professional indemnity insurance: Any person holding a licence under this Act must obtain professional indemnity insurance for practising the licensed activities according to the nature and extent of the risks related to his or her work or must provide equivalent financial security, and must inform his or her clients about his or her insurance cover (Art. 13 RiskG). The minimum amount of the insured sum for professional indemnity insurance is CHF 5 million per year.
Cost of a licence and consequences of no licence: Anyone who does not obtain a licence and offers off-piste activities commercially must pay a fine of CHF 10,000 (Art. 15 RiskG). The maximum cost for issuing a permit is CHF 100.
It is up to you, ski teacher, how much to ask for your service. We only provide a recommodation what is usually asked for who and what time period.
Generally you are free to decide how much to charge for your services. But we don’t recommend charging less than CHF 1,000/day – you’re a VIP after all!
The prerequisite for your Buddy to be listed under «Find Buddies», is specification of at least one area as ‘preferred’ in your profile. Only then, other Buddies can find you, because they know your preferred ski areas.
If you did not designate a preferred area in your profile, you still can find other Buddies and arrange to meet them. It will just not be possible for them to find you.
Therefore: It is important to designate your favorite areas to interact with other Buddies.
